Medak constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Telangana. The election was conducted on April 11, 2019, as per the Phase 1 schedule.
The results of the Medak Lok Sabha Constituency will be declared today. The counting of votes began on the Parliamentary seat in Telangana at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. The political parties have declared candidates for this Lok Sabha constituency. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi sitting MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy will be re-contesting from the seat. The Indian National Congress has declared Gali Anil Kumar as its candidate. The BJP has fielded Raghunanadan Rao from Medak. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy of Telangana Rashtra Samithi won from the seat by defeating Indian National Congress Congress candidate and former minister V Sunitha Reddy with a massive margin of 3,61,277 votes.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha elections 2019 will take place across the country between April 11 and May 23. While polling will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, the general election results will be announced on May 23.
