New Delhi, February 25: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking a holy dip at Kumbh Mela and washing feet of sanitation workers after the holy bath. In a series of tweets, Mayawati said, “Will a ‘SHAHI’ dip in Sangam by PM Modi be able to wash sins of reneging poll promises, treachery & other state wrongs? Not possible for people to forgive BJP easily for making their life miserable through deeds of Notebandi, GST, Vengeance, Casteism, Communal & Authoritarian rule.” Fact Check: Is PM Narendra Modi The 1st Prime Minister to Visit Kumbh Mela As Claimed by BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya?
Mayawati's tweet on PM Modi's holy dip:
In another tweet, she raised questions of the Modi government’s Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme for providing Rs 500 per month to farmers. The BSP chief tweeted, “Modi govt should differentiate between farmers and landless labourers, His Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of Rs 500 per month may be useful for labourers but not helpful for farmers who want the remunerative price of their produce which BJP govt has failed to ensure. This is a failure.”
