Panaji, January 30: Ridiculed by the Opposition for using the "How's The Josh" punchline from Uri: The Surgical Strikes movie while inaugurating a bridge in Mandovi on Sunday, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar issued a rebuttal today, saying that he is "full hosh" and will continue to serve Goa till his last breath.
"Today, once again I promise that I will serve Goa with sincerity, integrity, and dedication until my last breath. There is a josh, that is too high and I'm fully in hosh," Parrikar said in the Goa Assembly, where he presented the State Budget for the financial year 2019-20. Parrikar, who inaugurated the 5.1-km-long cable-stayed bridge in Mandova along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, had received massive applause from the gathering when he asked, "How's the Josh?" The crowd quipped: "High sir".
Goa Congress unit chief Girish Chodankar had taken a stinging jibe at the ailing Goa CM for his remarks, saying, he should "first come to hosh before talking about josh".
"Everyone is sleeping in the state. The ministers are sleeping and hence, the administration has collapsed. How will you see the josh among people? Just inauguration of the bridge is not enough to bring josh. The government should first come to its senses," he had added.
Parrikar, who has been reeling under pancreatic ailments since last year, has restricted his public appearances. He was, however, present at the inaugural session of Goa legislative assembly on Monday, and presented the Budget today while being strapped with a medical appendage.
