PM Modi had earlier accused the Bengal CM of establishing "mafia" in coal mines and depriving workers of their remuneration. "You know better how Trinamool's mafia raj is continuing in coal mines here. Trinamool leaders are making money while mines workers are deprived of their remuneration," PM Modi said at a rally in Bankura.

The campaigning in Bengal has intensified as just two phases of voting is remaining for 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, which ends on May 10. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. The Trinamool Congress is trying to retain its power in the state, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hopes to make significant inroads.
