On Thursday, Khan made these disrespectful comments to Rama Devi, who was officiating the Chair. According to an ANI tweet, he was quoted saying, "Aap mujhe itni acchi lagti hain ki mera mann karta hai ki aap ki aankhon mein aankhein dale rahoon'. Which means, "I am so fond of you that I feel like staring at your eyes."

Following which, Rama Devi asked Khan to refrain from using such remarks. "This is not the way to speak, please expunge these remarks.", she said. Azam Khan in his defence said that he respects her and looks up to her as his sister.

The Ministers asked Khan to apologise for his remarks, but following the uproar, he walked out of the House.
