Latur-Beed-Usmanabad poll result has been deferred by Aurangabad High Court division bench. The result declaration has been stalled, as the NCP's Ramesh Karad took his nomination back creating major uproar in the party. BJP party's Suresh Dhas claims himself the winner, however, the elections were held between NCP's dummy candidate Ashok Jgadale and Suresh Dhas. The results of this by-election seat will be declared later.

First results from Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad Election 2018,  Anil Tatkare wins from Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg seat with 200 votes.

Biennial elections to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from six local bodies' constituencies Nashik, Parbhani-Hingoli, Osmanabad-Latur-Beed, Amravati and Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg and Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli were held on 21 May 2018. The Election Commission of India (ECI)  announced the notification for the polls on April 26 while the last date for filing nominations was May 3.

As per the Election Commission of India (ECI) the term of office of NCP's Anil Tatkare, who represents Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg local bodies' constituency, will end on May 31. while for the other five members which are Jayant Jadhav (Nashik), Abdullah Khan A Latif Khan Durani (Parbhani-Hingoli), the Congress's Dilip Deshmukh (Osmanabad-Latur-Beed), BJP's Pravin Pote (Amravati) and Mitesh Bhangdia (Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli) would end on June 21. Hence the biennial elections were required.
