Mumbai, November 25: Senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal visited disgruntled party leader and Maharashtra's deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Monday, amidst the political drama in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Bhujbal trying to meet Ajit Pawar is seen as the former's attempt to mend the differences between NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar. On Sunday, the two were involved in a Twitter exchange, which made it clear that Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar are not on the same page. When asked about his purpose behind visiting Ajit Pawar, Bhujbal said that he was trying to convince Ajit Pawar to "come back" with the party MLAs. Adding to the political turmoil in Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar on Sunday tweeted saying that he is still the part of NCP and that Sharad Pawar is his leader. However, in the same tweet, Ajit Pawar added that the Maharashtra-NCP government will provide a stable government in Maharashtra. Replying to nephew Ajit Pawar's tweet, Sharad Pawar said that there is no question of alliance with the BJP and that Ajit Pawar was misleading people with his tweets.
