Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Plays Cricket at Pune Event, Watch Video
The Maharashtra Chief Minister was the guest at an event in Pune and couldn't resist taking up the bat to face a few deliveries.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was seen playing cricket at an event near Pune. The event was titled 'CM Chasak Krida' and was a sports and cultural event. Going by the video, the people present at the event looked happy to see the CM try his hands at cricket.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister also spoke at the event and emphasised how important sports is for the development of youth. He also advised the youth to not fall for addiction and said that Maharashtra should look forward to producing athletes who can represent India at the Olympics. The Maharashtra Chief Minister even took the bat to face a few deliveries and missed the first two balls but hit the third ball via a switch hit.

Before this event, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the Late R S Gavai Memorial and Convention Centre at the Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University. "Gavais memorial would be befitting to his towering personality and promote his thought of equality," he said.
The memorial would serve as a source of inspiration to masses and satiate students' quest for knowledge, the CM said. Fadnavis paid tributes to Gavai on the occasion of his 89th birth anniversary. The memorial,coming up on 3.96 hectares of land at Mouje Mhasala near the Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University campus, is to have a full size statue of Gavai and a gallery devoted to his life and works.
The complex will also have a convention centre for academic, industrial and professional purposes, two auditoriums, a conference hall, an open theatre and a guest house. "He was an encyclopedia in true sense and enhanced the esteem of all the posts he held in politics and social life," said Fadnavis.
