Bhopal, Feb 27: The bye-elections results of Kolaras and Mungaoli - the two assembly segments of Madhya Pradesh - will be declared today. The two by-elections in Madhya Pradesh were necessitated following the death of incumbent legislators in 2017. Kolaras MLA Ram Singh Yadav passed away in October 2017, whereas, the Mungaoli legislator Mahendra Singh Kalukheda died in September 2018.

Kolaras bypoll: Candidates in fray
From Kolaras, the party has fielded Mahendra Singh Yadav, son of deceased legislator Ram Singh Yadav. The BJP's candidate in the fray was Devendra Jain, In the bypoll held on Saturday, 72.85 per cent voting was recorded.
Mungaoli Bypoll: Candidates in fray
In Mungaoli, the Congress has fielded Brajendra Singh Yadav, whereas, the BJP candidate was Baisahab Yadav.
The bypoll results are considered to be a prestige battle between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Congress' state unit chief Jyotiraditya Scindia.
