Bhopal, November 20: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Dilip Shekhawat on Monday evening was greeted with a garland of shoes in Nagada Khachrod of Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred when Shekhawat was on a visit to a village in his constituency for the upcoming assembly elections. In a video of the episode, which went viral on the internet, a man can be seen greeting Shekhawat with a garland of shoes. Upon realising it, the MLA reacted to it with anger and throws away the garland then gets in a fight with the man. Shekhawat is a sitting MLA from the Nagada-Khachrod constituency and his name was mentioned in the first list of 177 BJP candidates for the upcoming elections. The voting in the state will take place on November 28, while the counting of votes and results will be declared on December 11.
