Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2018 Opinion Poll Results: ABP Predicts Congress to Win
ABP news channel has released an Opinion Poll, which says that the Congress is ahead of BJP in terms of seats for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
Mumbai, August 14: The states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh will go to poll before the all important General Elections in India in 2019. All the three states mentioned above will go to polls either in 2018 ending or in the beginning of 2019. The BJP is in power in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, ABP news channel has released an Opinion Poll, which says that the Congress is ahead of BJP in terms of seats in Madhya Pradesh.
The channel has said that 27, 968 samples were considered for the poll in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. The survey was conducted on all the 65 Lok Sabha seats of the three poll bound states. Madhya Pradesh Opinion Poll:
The poll says that BJP is getting 40 percent of the seats in Madhya Pradesh and that Congress will corner 42 percent seats in the state. Other parties will end up with 18 percent of the seats, said the Opinion poll. But when asked about PM candidate, 54 percent of the respondents said they would prefer Narendra Modi and 25 percent respondents said that they would like to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister.
On the question of who should become the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan was preferred by 42 percent of the voters, whereas 30 percent of respondents said they would go with Jyotiraditya Scindia, and seven percent of the respondents said that they would like to see Kamalnath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
Rajasthan Opinion Poll:
41 percent of the respondents in Rajasthan said that they would like to see Ashok Gehlot as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Sachin Pilot was backed by 18 percent of the respondents for the Chief Minister of Rajasthan post. On the question of who should be the Prime Minister of India, 55 percent respondents said that they would like to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi continue on the post. 22 percent said that Rahul Gandhi should be the Prime Minister.
For the assembly elections, BJP was preferred by 37 percent of the respondents and Congress was stated as the party to vote for by 51 percent of the voters. Others have got 12 percent of the votes from the respondents.
On the question of who should become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje got 24 percent votes, 41 percent of the respondents in Rajasthan said that they would like to see Ashok Gehlot as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Sachin Pilot was backed by 18 percent of the respondents.
Chhattisgarh Opinion Poll:
In Chhattisgarh opinion polls, the Congress emerges as the single largest party with clear majority. Raman Singh got 34 percent votes for the post of Chief Minister, Ajit Jogi received 17 percent votes and Bhupesh Baghel was preferred by nine percent of the voters. Narendra Modi emerged as the favorite for the post of Prime Minister.
