Bhopal, November 27: Polls for the 230-seat Madhya Pradesh assembly will be held tomorrow, with the Election Commission earmarking over 65,000 booths across the ensure smooth voting. The electoral battle is primarily wedged between the incumbent BJP and the prime Opposition Congress, which has been out of power in MP for the last 15 years. Her are the key candidates and constituencies to watch out:

- Budhni: The BJP candidate here is Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is being challenged by former Union Minister Congress' ex-state unit chief Arun Yadav.

- Khurai: From this seat, the BJP has given the ticket to incumbent lawmaker and State Home Minister Bhupinder Singh. The Congress nominee is Arunoday Choubey.

- Shivpuri: The contest here is between BJP veteran Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Congress leader Siddharth Lada.

- Bhitarwar: The BJP has fielded Anoop Mishra, the Morena MP and nephew of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Congress candidate is Lakhan Singh Yadav -- who had defeated Mishra in the 2013 polls.

- Indore 3: Pollsters are keen to view the outcome from this seat as it would ascertain the political stature of Akash Vijayvargiya, the son of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.

- Churhat: The seat witnesses the candidature of Congress' Ajay Singh, the Leader of Opposition in the outgoing assembly. The BJP challenger is Sartendu Tiwari, the grandson of former Lok Sabha MP Chandra Pratap Tiwari.

- Jhabua: The Congress has fielded here Vikrant Bhuria, the son of former Union Minister Kantilal Bhuria, whereas, the BJP has issued the ticket to Guman Singh Damor.

- Rau: From this constituency, Congress' MP unit secretary Jitu Patwari is pitted against BJP leader Madhu Verma.

- Bhojpur: Congress candidate from the seat is Suresh Pachauri, ex-Union Minister and former chief of MP Congress Committee. He is being challenged by BJP's Surendra Patwa, nephew of former CM Sunderlal Patwa.

Results of the high-stake polls in Madhya Pradesh will be declared on December 11 by the Election Commission. Notably, the BJP has announced that Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be sworn-in for a fourth consecutive term if the party secures the mandate. The Congress, meanwhile, had refrained to project its CM candidate ahead of the elections -- which pollsters attribute to the fear of infighting and rebellions.
