Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018: Congress Party Manifesto Says RSS Shakhas Will Not be Allowed in Govt Buildings

Bhopal, November 11: The Congress party in its election manifesto in poll bound Madhya Pradesh has said that RSS shakhas (branches) would not be allowed in Government buildings and premises, if the Congress party comes to power. The Congress manifesto also says that the earlier order to allow government employees to attend RSS shakhas will be revoked. The Congress released its manifesto for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections 2018 on Saturday, November 10. Senior party leaders Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia were present at the launch of the manifesto and spoke at length about Congress party's plans for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Scindia said that the Congress party is optimistic about the assembly elections.

Kamal Nath attacked the incumbent BJP government and said that BJP has been only "doing jumlas for the past 15 years." Speaking at the manifesto release, Madhya Pradesh party unit president, Kamal Nath said that "We will reduce the electricity bill of farmers by 50%, reduce diesel and petrol prices and open 'Gaushalas' in every Gram Panchayat among other things mentioned in our election manifesto."

While Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a dig at the main opposition party of the state. While addressing an election rally in Anuppur, Chouhan said, “Congress today released its election manifesto, they only release manifestos but never fulfil them.”
