Bhopal, November 17: In presence of Union Finance Minister and BJP veteran Arun Jaitley, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday released the party's manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Titled as the "vision document", the manifesto reflects the aspirations of all sections and stratas of the society, said CM Chouhan.

Among the marquee promises made in the manifesto, include creation of 10 lakh jobs for youth per year. The poll plank is aimed at addressing the unemployment woes raised by a massive section of educated youngsters in the state. What Has the Congress Promised in Its Manifesto For MP Polls 2018?

The party has also promised scooties to meritorious girls passing Class 12th. To target the female voters, the Chief Minister has promised in the vision document to create a safe and secure environment for women in Madhya Pradesh.

Jaitley, who addressed the gathering at the manifesto launch, said Chouhan has been working relentlessly for the last 13 years to uplift the state on all socio-economic parameters. If MP falls into "wrong hands again", the Union Minister said, it would turn into a "bimaru rajya".

The BJP's "vision document" comes almost a week after the Congress released its "vachan patra (document of promises)", focusing primarily on agriculture and welfare of farmers -- a section which has rebelled against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-regime on multiple occasions in the last three years.

The Congress has promised to waive off farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh on coming to power. To target the job aspirants, the party has promised a "salary grant" five years to industries offering jobs to the youth.

Elections to the 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly will be held in a single-phase on November 28, whereas, the results will be declared on December 11.
