Election Commission of India has declared the final results of Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency. Ashok Kumar Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been named the winner. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Ashok Kumar Yadav from Madhubani Lok Sabha constituency. Meanwhile, Mahagathbandhan's Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP) has fielded Badri Kumar Purbey from here. The last date of filing nominations for the seat was April 18. The scrutiny of nominations papers took place on April `20. In 2014 elections also, BJP candidate Hukmdev Narayan Yadav had won from  Madhubani Lok Sabha Constituency defeating Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Abdul Bari Siddiqui with a margin of over 20,000 votes. Yadav had won the seat three times in 2014, 2009 and 1999.

The Election Commission of India on March 10 announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The general elections will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, and the results will be declared on May 23. Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019.
