New Delhi, May 20: Not only exit polls, satta bazaar or betting market across the country are predicting a thumping victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The satta bazaar, however, is not giving the majority to the BJP. It also predicts less than 100 seats for the Congress. Narendra Modi returning as the prime minister is among popular bets in betting markets across the country.
In Delhi, satta bazaar predicted that the BJP would bag 238-241 seats, where the Congress party is projected to win 79-81 seats, reported India Today. The betting market in Mumbai gives the same number of seats to the BJP. For Congress, it predicts 78-81 seats. Bookies in both the betting markets are not expecting the BJP to touch the majority mark of 272 on its own. They, however, are of the view that Narendra Modi will become prime minister again. The satta bazaar in Rajasthan also says the BJP may not get a full majority on its own. They have predicted 242-245 seats for the BJP and 75-80 seats for Congress. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will go beyond 300 seats, they added, as reported by India Today. According to satta bazaars in Gujarat, the BJP the BJP will win 242-244 seats with NDA getting 300 seats. The Congress party is projected to bag 80-82 seats. In Madhya Pradesh, the betting market predicts 246-248 seats for the BJP and 80-82 for Congress.
Most exit polls released on Sunday said the BJP-led NDA will retain power with Congress-led UPA expected to fall far short of numbers to reach the half-way mark in the Lok Sabha elections.
