Kurnool, March 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during his election rally in Kurnool. PM Modi called Naidu 'u-turn Babu', was not on the state's development. He further added that it was also the 'chowkidar' who cleared the first Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) besides approving the greenfield petrochemical complex for the state. The Prime Minister added that his government sanctioned first central university in Anantpur. PM Modi also accused Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo, of pasting state government 'stickers' on the Central schemes.

PM Modi hit out the Andhra Pradesh CM for getting close to the Congress. Referring to Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, he said, “Naidu has "found friends who are on bail.” The Prime Minister also levelled charges of corruption and dynasty politics against Naidu. Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu Fixated with Promotion of Own Son, Leading State Towards Sunset, Says Narendra Modi.

The Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will take place in the first phase on April 11. The state is also going for assembly polls along with the general elections. The counting of votes will take place on May 23, and the results will be declared on the same day.
