Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Opinion Poll: Narendra Modi Tops Survey As Popular PM Candidate, Rahul Gandhi Second on The List

Prime Narendra Modi is the favourite candidate for the post of Prime Minister. According to the latest survey conducted by Time Now-CNX opinion poll, 42 percent voters want Modi to be the next prime minister.

Mumbai, November 29: Narendra Modi has emerged as the favourite candidate for the post of Prime Ministership, according to the latest survey conducted by Times Now-CNX opinion poll. A total of 42 percent voters said that they want Modi to be the next prime minister. Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is second in the list with 20 percent voters sees him as a potential candidate for the post of PM. During the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s catchy slogan ‘Ache Din’ showed pictures of hopeful future to the voters. According to the opinion poll, after four and half years of the BJP rule, still, 52 percent of the people believe that ‘Ache Din’ has arrived, whereas 30 percent people hold a contradictory opinion. If we talk about the major issues which will be considered by the voters while casting their votes for the Lok Sabha elections next year, for 74 percent of the people economic issue is the most important question, whereas 11 percent voters believe that Ram Mandir will dominate the general elections. However, only 10 percent of voters think that Rafale deal controversy is an important cause of concern. Meanwhile, as per the survey, 46 percent of people believe that the Ram Mandir will be constructed if the government passes an ordinance, but 27 percent of voters don't agree with this. The remaining 27 percent don’t have any opinion on this issue.
