Hyderabad, January 16: With few months remaining for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son KT Rana Rao met YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy in Hyderabad on Wednesday to try and rope the latter’s party into the proposed coalition.

Rao’s meeting with Reddy is an indication that the young minister wants to proceed with his father’s ambition to form a federal front, other than Congress or BJP, to contest the Lok Sabha polls. It is to be known that Jagan Mohan Reddy is the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly. BJP Plans Mega Outreach Effort Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, to Hold 50 Press Briefings in Next 4 Days.

This is the first meeting between the two leaders after TRS swept the state Assembly elections in December 2018 and since KCR floated the idea of a front as an alternation to the BJP and the Congress.

Though the minutes of the seats sharing between the two are yet to reveal, it would be interesting how TRS and YSR Congress would segregate the constituencies, as TDP holds considerable influence in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Previously, KCR had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Janata Dal (United) leader HD Deve Gowda, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and DMK leader MK Stalin.
