New Delhi, May 19: The voting for the final phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 is underway in seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh on Sunday, May 19, as stories of polling from various parts of the country emerge. Polling for the 13 Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab is underway and an inspiring tale of voters exercising their franchise was reported from Amritsar, where a group of visually impaired voters cast their vote. However, polling in Bhatinda was marred with violence, where two groups clashed outside polling booth number 122 in Talwandi Sabo.

In Punjab, a total of 223 candidates are in the fray in the final phase of elections. There are a total of 2,08,92,674 voters in Punjab. Out which 1,10,59,828 are males and 98,32,286 are females and 560 are third gender voters. More than 23,000 polling stations are set up across the state.
