Famous Bhojpuri actor singer Dinesh Lal Yadav joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on March 27, ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections and will be contesting against Akhilesh Yadav from Azamgarh seat.
Lucknow, April 3: Hours after getting named in the 16th list of BJP candidates from Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Lal Yadav "Nirahua", who will be contesting on BJP ticket against former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav from the Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat, called Akhilesh his "elder brother" but added that Yadavs are not "Akhilesh Bhakt". Dinesh Lal Yadav also said that people won't vote only because he is a Yadav. Talking to news agency ANI, Dinesh Lal Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that "Every Yadav believes today they aren't 'Akhilesh bhakt' just because they are a Yadav. Yadavs are 'Desh bhakt'. We've thoughts of our own, we know what's in interest of the nation. We'll have to rise above caste politics, people are understanding that."
