New Delhi, April 3: The Congress on Wednesday released the 16th list of four candidates from West Bengal for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The grand old Party has fielded Syed Shahid Imam from Kolkata Uttar and Laxman Chandra Seth from Tamluk. The Congress has also given tickets to Khandakar Mohammad Saifullah from Ghatal and Biswarup Mondal from Asansol. Earlier today, the Congress also released the list of nine candidates for the upcoming Odisha Assembly elections. The party has fielded Manas Das Patnaik from Balasore, Smruti Rekha Pahi from Dharamsala, Santosh Kumar Nanda from Jajpur and Arindun Sarkel from Paradeep.

The Congress on Tuesday night declared 20 more Lok Sabha candidates retaining some of its sitting lawmakers in Punjab including Sunil Jakhar from Gurdaspur, Gurjit Singh Aujla from Amritsar, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana and Santokh Singh Chaudhary from Jalandhar. The party has also given tickets to former lawmakers Preneet Kaur from Patiala and Pawan Kumar Bansal from Chandigarh.

Till now the grand old party has declared 349 candidates for the upcoming general elections. The Parliamentary polls will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.
