Congress President Rahul Gandhi once again rebuked Sam Pitroda's '1984 me hua to hua' remark. Addressing a public meeting in Punjab, Rahul Gandhi said: "What Sam Pitroda said about 1984 is absolutely wrong and he should apologise to the nation for it. I told him this over the phone, I told him what he said was wrong, he should be ashamed and apologise publicly."
Reacting to the West Bengal government's denial for holding a rally, BJP President Amit Shah said it was done to protect Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee. "I was to visit three places today, but Mamata's ji's nephew is contesting from one of the seats so she is scared her nephew will lose, and that's why she cancelled the permission for our rally," he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Ratlam, again attacked at opposition over Sam Pitroda's 'hua to hua' remark. "These 'Mahamilavati' people are saying 'hua toh hua', but the country is now saying 'mahamilavati logon ab bohot hua', enough is enough," he said.

In the sixth phase of polling on Sunday, voter turnout of 63.3 per centwas recorded, which was less than 65.67 per cent recorded in 2014 for the same seats, the Election Commission said on Sunday. The sixth phase polling was held in 59 seats across seven states in India.
According to reports, the voter turnout was higher in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh and almost the same in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 59.8 per cent which is less than the 65.1 per cent in 2014. According to a report by IANS, the polling percentage was 62.91 in Haryana (71.86 in 2014), 65.17 in Jharkhand (65.43 in 2014), 79.93 in West Bengal (84.98 in 2014), 60.06 in Madhya Pradesh (56.8 in 2014), 59.38 in Bihar (57.25 in 2014) and 54.12 in Uttar Pradesh (54.53 in 2014).
