Bhubaneswar, April 18: In an unfortunate incident, a 95-year-old man collapsed while waiting for his turn to vote in Odisha. The incident took place at a polling booth in Ganjam, Odisha. The man was immediately rushed to the hospital but the doctors could not save him. Reports said that the nonagenarian was standing in a long queue to cast his vote in Kansamari booth of Sanakhemundi Assembly constituency, which comes under Aska Lok Sabha segment. Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase II: List of States And Constituencies Voting On April 18.

In Odisha, the second phase of polling is underway at 5 Lok Sabha constituencies namely Bargarh, Sundergarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Aska and 35 Assembly constituencies. A total of 76.93 lakh voters are eligible to cast their franchise is Odisha's Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Aska Lok Sabha seats and 35 Assembly seats spread across western and southern Odisha.
