By the time this report was first published, the NDA was projected to lead in 220 seats as per the trends. The Congress-led NDA had also crossed the century-mark, as it was shown to be leading in 112 constituencies.
The chunk of NDA's lead came from North India, where the BJP is evidently performing well. For the Congress-led coalition, the numbers have soared in southern India, with DMK sweeping in Tamil Nadu.
Among key candidates in fray, BJP's Ravi Kishan is ahead in Gorakhpur, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is leading in Lucknow, Mahesh Sharma is ahead in Gautam Budh Nagar, whereas, Rahul Gandhi is trailing in Amethi, Shashi Tharoor is lagging behind in Thiruvananthapuram and NCP's Supriya Sule in Baramati.
