Almost all the exit polls on Sunday have predicted a clear majority and thumping victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). According to exit polls, NDA will secure more than 300 seats, repeating its performance in the 2014 elections.

However, the opposition parties have derided the exit polls calling them "unfair and biased." The leaders of several Opposition parties are cumulatively hopeful of crossing the magic figure of 272 seats and dislodging the Narendra Modi government from Centre. Meanwhile, the elections in India began on April 11, 2019, and concluded on May 19. The polls saw a intense campaigning by political parties.
