New Delhi, November 8: Lal Krishna Advani, former Deputy Prime Minister and a co-founder of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has turned 93 today. On LK Advani's birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led leaders of the BJP in wishing the senior leader. "Very very happy returns of the day to LK Advani who brought the BJP to the people and played an important role in the development of the country. He is an inspiration to crores of workers of the BJP and citizens. I pray for his long and healthy life," PM Modi tweeted on Advani's birthday. PM Narendra Modi Wishes LK Advani on His Birthday:

"Hearty congratulations to the honourable Shri LK Advani, former Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader of the country. He is ideal in politics for crores of workers because of his commitment and principles. I pray to God for your health and longevity," Nadda said in a tweet. Union Home Minister and former BJP chief Amit Shah said Advani played a key role in spreading BJP's ideology.

"Respected Advani ji, with his hard work and selfless service, not only contributed to the development of the country but also played a major role in the expansion of BJP's nationalist ideology. I wish him all the best on his birthday and wish God good health and longevity," Shah tweeted. Advani, a long-time member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), served as the 7th Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
