The exit polls basically includes post-voting surveys after a voter come out of the polling booth. The media agencies conduct surveys and collect information from a sample of respondents across polling booths in all constituencies. The exit polls seek to predict the result of the elections. Reports inform that since 2013, Axis My India has conducted 40 post-poll surveys, of which 38 have been spot on.
In the outgoing assembly, the RJD has 80 members while the JD (U) has 69. The BJP has 54 seats, Congress has 25, while the remaining seats in the 243-member assembly are held by other parties. The first phase of voting for the 243-strong assembly took place on October 28 and the second phase on November 3. The votes will be counted on November 10.
