Krishnagiri Lok Sabha Constituency Election Results 2019 in Tamil Nadu: Dr A Chellakumar of Congress Wins This Parliamentary Seat

Hyderabad, May 23: Results for the Krishnagiri Lok Sabha Constituency in Tamil Nadu has been declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Dr A Chellakumar of the Congress party has won the seat. The counting of votes for the Krishnagiri Lok Sabha Constituency began at 8 AM on Thursday, May 23. This is one of the 39 Parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu which went to poll on April 18.

Formed in 1951, the Lok Sabha Constituency of Krishnagiri represents the district of Krishnagiri and has six segments of the legislative assembly. All the 39 parliamentary seats in Tamil Nadu will go to vote in the second phase which is scheduled to take place on April 18. The results will be declared on May 23.  Out of the 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the BJP to contest 5 seats while the AIADMK is contesting on 27 seats.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Ashok Kumar.K of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) had defeated DMK candidate Chinna Pillappa.P with a total of 480,491 votes.
