Sikar, December 11: Results of Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 are expected to be declared today by the Election Commission of India. Counting of votes is currently underway across the 200 legislative seats of the state. LatestLY brings to you below the live trends and results from the following six constituencies: Khetri, Fatehpur, Lachhmangarh, Dhod, Sikar and Danta Ramgarh.
Khetri: The contest in this seat is three-cornered. The sitting BSP MLA Puranmal Saini is taking on BJP candidate Dharampal and Congress leader Jitendra Singh -- who had emerged the first runner-up in the 2013 polls. Check the live results and updates here.
Fatehpur: The Muslim-dominated seat witnesses a contest between the BSP's Zarina Banu, Congress' Hakam Ali Khan and BJP candidate Sunita Kumari. The seat was last bagged by independent candidate Nand Kishore, who is not in the polling fray this year. Check the live results here.
Lachhmangarh: The sitting two-time MLA and senior Congress leader Govind Singh Dotasara had been renominated by the party. He is being challenged by BJP's Dinesh Joshi and BSP's Ganesh Joshi. Check the live poll outcome here.
Dhod: BJP had repeated its incumbent MLA Gordhan, who had bagged the constituency with a margin of nearly 40,000 votes in 2013. He is being challenged by Congress candidate Parsaram Mondia and BSP's Bharat Singh. Check the live results here.
Sikar: Here, the BJP and the Congress has repeated their candidates from 2013. While the saffron party had fielded the sitting MLA Ratan Lal Jaldhari, the latter had issued its ticket to Rajendra Pareek -- who emerged the first runner-up in the last polls. Check the live updates of election outcome here.
Danta Ramgarh: Pollsters claim the contest in this constituency is three-cornered between the CPI(M), the Congress and the BJP. While the Congress had issued the ticket to its incumbent MLA Narayan Singh, the BJP had fielded Harish Chandra Kumawat -- who lost in 2013 by a margin of less than 600 votes. The CPI(M) candidate is Amra Ram, who had won the seat in 2008. Check the latest update on results here.
In the last assembly elections, the BJP and the Congress had won two each of the above 6 seats, whereas, the BSP and an independent candidate had wrested one each.
