New Delhi, June 22: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was denied an appointment to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi for the fourth time on Thursday. As per reports, the Chief Minister’s office has informed that the PMO has refused to give appointment to him and an all-party delegation.

Reports inform that the all-party delegation was planning to meet the Prime Minister to discuss disparities in ration allocation meant for Kerala. It was reported that the PMO reportedly directed them to meet Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan if needed.

As per details by the Chief Minister’s Office, the delegation had sought an appointment on June 16 and June 21. However, the appointment for both the days was turned down by the PMO. Reports inform that the first meeting was on November 24, 2016 and the second time was in March 2017.

In the first meeting, the CM was scheduled to discuss the central government declaration of demonetisation, the second time was in March last year when Pinarayi wanted to meet PM Narendra Modi to speak about the budget allocation to Kerala.

It must be noted that the Kerala Chief Minister was among the four non-NDA chief ministers who met with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife during his dharna against L-G Anil Baijal.
