According to a report by Firstpost, the voting percentage of 14 urban local bodies in Belagavi district till 2 pm are as follows: The Gokak Municipal Council recorded 36.01% voter turnout, Chikkodi municipality with 43.81%, Ramdurg municipality -34.74%, Savadatti municipality with 47.28%, Bailhongal municipality with 42.06%, Sankeshwar municipality recorded 44.34% voter turnout, Moodlagiri municipality recorded 58.05% voter turnout till 2 PM, Kudachi panchayat reported 53.49% voter turnout, Hukeri municipality reported 50.33%, Sadalga municipality with 64.15%, Rayabag Pattan panchayat with 46.07%, Khanapur Pattan Panchayat with 48.07%, Konnur municipality with 46.26%, Nipani Municipal Council with 45.64% voter turnout till 2 pm.
Polling in 102 Urban Local Bodies is underway and will continue till 5 PM. Reports inform that the total voting at 73.87% in Hallikhed in Bidar city as of 3 pm.

Bengaluru, August 31: After being postponed by two days, the polling for the first phase of elections to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Karnataka begun at 7 am on Friday. This is the first phase of elections to Urban Local Bodies in the state. Reports inform that all the three major political parties - the Congress, the JD(S) and the BJP have fielded their candidates. The polling will be held in the 2,574 wards in 105 local bodies on Friday. The counting of votes will be held on September 3, 2018.
