Bengaluru, Sept 3: The results of civic polls conducted in 24 districts of Karnataka will be declared today by the State Election Commission. The counting of votes is scheduled to begin at 8 am. For live streaming of the results and latest trends, follow the embedded link of TV9 Kannada below.
In the polls held on Friday, 105 urban local bodies (ULBs) in Karnataka were contested, including 3 city corporations, 23 town panchayats, 29 city municipalities and 53 town municipalities. In all, a total of 2,662 wards were up for grabs.

On Friday, an average voter turnout of 63.2 per cent was recorded by the SEC. The voting was conducted under the watch of 40,000 security personnel deployed for the safe conduct of the elections.
A total of 8,430 aspirants were in the fray for the ULB seats sans the city corporations. Maximum among them were from the Congress, which fielded 2,306 candidates, followed by 2,203 from the BJP and 1,397 from the JD(S).
In the three city municipal corporations -- Mysuru, Shivammoga and Tumakaru -- a total of 814 candidates were in the fray, including 135 from the Congress, 130 from the BJP and 129 from the JD(S).
In the 2013 civic elections of Karnataka, the Congress had emerged the single largest party winning 1,960 of the 4,976 ULB seats. BJP and JD(S) had tied with victory on 905 seats each, whereas the remaining were bagged by the Independents.
