Bengaluru, July 19: The Karnataka political crisis is taking on epic proportions as the state assembly Vidhana Soudha becomes the site where the drama is unfolding. The BJP legislators, as a mark of protest against Speaker KR Ramesh deferring the trust vote to Friday, announced that they would do an overnight dharna in the assembly. Karnataka Trust Vote Deferred: Governor Vajubhai Vala Asks CM HD Kumaraswamy to Prove Majority by 1:30 PM Today.
And soon after, BJP MLA Prabhu Chavan turned up with his pillow and blankets. The image soon went viral with people sharing the post extensively.

Karnataka governor Vajubhai Patel wrote to chief minister HD Kumaraswamy asking the CM to prove his majority on the floor of the house on Friday by 1.30 PM. BJP state unit chief BS Yeddyurappa, talking to reporters on Thursday, said that “We are demanding voting on the motion but the Chief Minister is reluctant to take it up as he has confirmed himself that he has lost confidence of the house and the people. Everybody knows Congress-JD(S) have only 98 MLAs, we have 105.”
