Hubbali, March 22: In a sad incident, senior Congress leader and Karnataka Municipalities Minister C S Shivalli breathed his last on Friday. The minister suffered a heart attack and was admitted in the hospital. On Friday he passed away while still undergoing treatment.

According to the doctors, the minister was gasping when brought to the hospital, but passed away in just a few minutes. The three-time Kundgol MLA is survived by wife Kusuma, daughters Roopa, Deepa and son Amarashiva.  Manohar Parrikar 18th Indian Chief Minister to Die in Office. 

As per the official information, Shivalli's mortals are currently shifted from hospital to Madani Colony JP Nagar House, for public viewing till 6:30 pm. After that, his body would be taken out in a procession to Kundgol via Adargunchi where people will pay him last respects.

After his demise, Congress president Rahul Gandhi condoled on the senior leader's sudden demise.

The mortals would be later shifted to Yaraguppi village in Dharwad on Saturday, and the last rite would be done in the afternoon. KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, Siddaramiah, CM HD Kumaraswamy and others are expected to visit tomorrow.
