Karnataka Elections 2018:Prime Minister Narendra Modi Hits back at Congress President Rahul Gandhi For His 15 Minute Debate Challenge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched his election campaign for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Polls. Addressing a rally in Santhemarahalli in Chamarajanagara district, PM Modi attacked the Congress party.

Santhemarahalli, May 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched his election campaign for the upcoming Karnataka assembly polls. The Prime Minister’s presence during the election campaign will provide necessary impetus to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) efforts to win these elections by unseating the Congress.

Addressing a rally in Santhemarahalli in Chamarajanagara district, PM Modi attacked the Congress party. He said that Congress leaders had no respect for India’s history. The Prime Minister took a Jibe at Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He said that Karnataka voters had to choose between the BJP, the party that had worked for the people and the Congress, the party that worked only for its top leadership. PM Modi further said, “Dynastic Politics not only ruined the party but also ruined the democracy and the country as well.”

The Prime Minister hitting back at Rahul Gandhi for his comment to have a 15-minute debate in the Parliament, said that he would ask Congress president to speak for 15 minutes on the achievement of his Congress government in Karnataka. Attacking the Siddaramaiah government, Modi said that there was no law and order in the state. He also said that there was lack of employment opportunities in the state. The Congress government of Karnataka failed to develop the tourism industry in the state.

Modi will be addressing two more rallies in Udupi and Chikkodi in Belagavi on Tuesday. Elections in Karnataka will be held on May 12, and the counting of results will take place on May 15. The BJP is trying its best to unseat Congress to make inroads in the southern states.
