Indi, April 30: The election bond Karnataka state has become a battleground for major political parties especially for 'Congress' and 'Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'. The state Chief Minister and Congress party leader Siddaramaiah during his election campaign rally at Indi Town on Sunday accused Janata Dal Secular (JDS) of doing a secret pact with the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) according to the news report in the new Indian express.
The report quoted Siddaramaiah, who stated that the State president H D Kumaraswamy of striking a secret pact with BJP national president Amit Shah. “I have all the details about Kumaraswamy travelling with Amit Shah in a private flight, the two held secret talks in the flight and also being together at Delhi Airport. I can also release the photographs if necessary,” Siddaramaiah told to reporters. However, the BJP officials have dismissed the allegation of a secret pact.
Siddaramaiah further alleged, “The BJP has fielded a ‘weak candidate’ in Chamundeshwari to help Janata Dal(S), the Janata Dal(S) has deliberately fielded ‘weak candidates’ in Hanur and Piriyapatna to help the BJP. This clearly shows that the BJP and the Janata Dal(S) have entered into an alliance to help each other and to divide Congress votes."
Taking on BJP- JDS secret pact he further attacked the State BJP president and former CM, B.S. Yeddyurappa. He said, "Yeddyurappa, who went to jail on the corruption charge, gets angry when somebody says that he went to jail. I wonder why Mr. Yeddyurappa loses his temper when someone calls him a man who went to jail. After all, it is the fact."
While the Chamundeshwari division will showcase the symbolic picture of Karnataka election --that of Siddaramaiah versus the rest. As it is the biggest seat in the Mysuru division that comprises 11 Assembly seats.
