The Karnataka Vote Trust drama continues to unfold in the Assembly. A group of BJP legislators had met Governor Vajubhai Vala on Thursday, pressing the demand for a floor test and confidence motion against Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy. The Governor then wrote to the Speaker of the assembly asking him to get the trust vote done by the end of the day.

But Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar adjourned the house on Thursday. The BJP legislators protested against the Speaker's decision and held an overnight dharna at the Vidhana Souda.
