Bhopal, September 14: With Madhya Pradesh government introduced a project of selling chicken and milk in the same outlet across the state, opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has opposed to the move. BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma stated that this move had hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Expressing his anger over the move, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma said, "We are objecting since cow milk is being sold alongside chicken and eggs. This is hurting the religious sentiment of people. We request the govt to look into it. Milk outlets and chicken outlets should be opened at some distance from each other."

However, the State Animal Husbandry Ministry Lakhan Singh said that the move would improve the nutrition status of the state. Stating the benefit of this scheme, Singh said, "People will get good quality eggs and milk. Kadaknath chicken is also being sold in the chicken parlour." The first outlet has been opened in the state capital Bhopal.
