Kagal Vidhan Sabha Constituency in Maharashtra: Sitting MLA, Candidates For Assembly Elections 2019, Results And Winners

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the voting in Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 will take place in a single-phased manner only, and hence, Kagal will vote on October 21 too.
Mushrif Hasan Miyalal, who belongs to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is the incumbent MLA of Kagal. In 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Polls, he defeated Shiv Sena’s candidate, and secured 1,23,626 votes in his favour. Mushrif Hasan Miyalal is a 4-time MLA from the constituency, winning the first election in 1999. Miyalal will also be fighting the 2019 Vidhan Sabha polls from the Kagal seat on an NCP ticket. Sanjay Anandrao Ghatage of Shiv Sena will also be fighting the polls in this seat among other candidates.
The Election Commission, on September 21, had announced the polling dates for the states of Haryana and Maharashtra. The EC had said that the date of notification would be September 27. The last date to file applications for their nominations was October 4. The deadline for the scrutiny of all applications was set to be October 5. For candidates who were willing to withdraw their candidatures from Maharashtra Elections 2019 can do so, on October 7.
As per the EC guidelines, the elections in Maharashtra will be conducted in a single-phase manner and would take place on October 21. The counting of votes is scheduled to be on October 24, and the results for Maharashtra Polls 2019 will be announced on the same day, along with Haryana Assembly Elections 2019.
The EC has said that all the electoral procedures will be done before Diwali, i.e. October 28. The poll agency has also announced that atleast one polling station in each assembly constituency will be women-exclusive only.
