In Jharkhand Nagar Nigam Polls, BJP’s Roshni Tirki has won Mayoral post in Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation. Meanwhile, in Lohardaga Nagar Parishad Congress’s Anupama Bhagat has been named as the Chairperson while the Deputy Chairperson is Congress’s Rauf Ansari
BJP has won both Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts in Giridih Municipal Corporation. BJP’s Sunil Kumar Paswan has won Mayoral post, Prakash Ram has won on Deputy Mayor post.
Out of the 13 Nagar Panchayats in Jharkhand, the BJP has won president post in seven. The Congress is yet to open its account. In Saraikela Nagar Panchayat, JMM candidate Manoj Chowdhry wins vice president.
In Jharkhand Nagar Panchayat Elections, BJP candidate Vijay Lakshmi wins president post in Nagar Utari Nagar Panchayat, Rubi Devi won from ward no 6 of Latehar Nagar Parishad. In Simdega Nagar Parishad, Shashi Gudiya won from ward no 4.
In Jharkhand, the Nagar Parishad election results status of Chairman posts is as follows: BJP is leading with 5 seats, Congress with 4, JMM with 3, AJSU with 1, RJD is leading 1, JVM, Others 1. AJSU’s Sachin Mahato leading on Mayor’s post in Adityapur Nagar Nigam after Round 1 of counting.
The elections were held for five Municipal Corporations (Nagar Nigam), 16 Municipal Councils (Nagar Parishad) and 13 Nagar Panchayats in Jharkhand on April 16. Bypolls were also held at four local bodies – Jhumri Tilaiya, Deoghar, Dhanbad and Bishrampur.
Ranchi, April 20: The counting of votes for Jharkhand Municipal Elections 2018 also known as Jharkhand Nagar Nikay Chunav 2018 is underway. According to initial trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Chairman Seat in Chirkunda Nagar Parishad while the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is ahead in Garhwa. It must be noted that the counting of votes is taking place for 34 local bodies in Jharkhand.
To recall, polling for five Municipal Corporations (Nagar Nigam), 16 Municipal Councils (Nagar Parishad) and 13 Nagar Panchayats on Monday took place on April 16, 2018. According to reports, while the BJP has prepared for a victory and is ready for celebrations while the Congress is confident of winning more seats this time.
In Giridih Municipal Corporation, the fate of 19 candidates for Mayor’s post and 12 for Deputy Mayor’s post, will be decided today. In Jharkhand, the Nagar Parishads where polling was held are Garhwa Nagar Parishad, Garhwa District, Chatra Nagar Parishad, Chatra District, Madhupur Nagar Parishad, Deoghar District, Godda Nagar Parishad, Godda District, Sahibganj Nagar Parishad, Sahibganj District, Pakur Nagar Parishad, Pakur District, Dumka Nagar Parishad, Dumka District, Mihijam Nagar Parishad, Jamtara District, Chirkunda Nagar Parishad, Dhanbad District, Phusro Nagar Parishad, Bokaro District, Ramgarh Nagar Parishad, Ramgarh District, Lohardaga Nagar Parishad, Lohardaga District, Gumla Nagar Parishad, Gumla District, Simdega Nagar Parishad, Simdega District, Chaibasa Nagar Parishad, Paschimi Singhbhum District, Kapali Nagar Parishad, Saraikela-Kharsawan district.
The Nagar Nigams that went to polls were Modinagar Nagar Nigam, Hazaribagh Nagar Nigam, Giridih Nagar Nigam, Ranchi Nagar Nigam, Adityapur Nagar Nigam.
