How to Check Your Name in Voters' List Online
The Election Commission has designated two portals - nvsp.in and electoralsearch.in - to allow voters to search for their names in the voter list. The websites act as electoral search engines, provided the user enters his details to the best of his knowledge.
On visiting the site, the users would find search boxes in which the required data should be entered. Among details sought from the user are his/her name, father or husband's name, age, date of birth, gender, state, district and Assembly/ Parliamentary Constituency.
After filling all the details, enter the captcha code below -- which ensures that the user is authentic and not a robot -- and press submit. On the page which follows, your name on the voters' list, along with your voter slip and ID card would be displayed. Voters are recommended to download the same and take a printout to avoid queues at the query centres outside their polling booths.
