The voting for the final phase of the five-phase Assembly election in Jharkhand began on Friday morning at 7 am. In the fifth phase, a total of 16 constituencies will go to polls with the BJP contesting on all 16 seats.

Ranchi, December 20: The exit poll predictions for Jharkhand Assembly elections 2019 will be out on Friday evening after the voting for the fifth and final phase comes to an end. The voting for the final phase of the five-phase Assembly election in Jharkhand began on Friday morning at 7 am. In the fifth phase of polling in the state, a total of 16 constituencies will go to polls. The live streaming of Jharkhand Assembly  elections 2019 can be watched here.

The saffron party has fielded sitting MLAs Ashok Kumar Bhagat, Anant Ojha and Amit Mandal from Mahagama, Rajmahal and Godda assembly constituencies, respectively.  In 2014, the BJP and the JMM had won six seats each, the Congress three and the JVM one seat. In Jharkhand, of the 81 assembly seats, polling has concluded in 65 seats  during the four phases between November 30 and December 16. According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), polling in 81 assembly seats across Jharkhand was scheduled to be held in five phases - November 30, December 7, December 12, December 16 and December 20.

The term of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly will end on January 5. Jharkhand was to go to assembly polls along with Maharashtra and Haryana on October 21 but the poll panel deferred elections. In 2014, assembly elections in Jharkhand were held in five phases from November 25 to December 20. The results were declared on December 23.
