Ranchi, December 23: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Hemant Soren won the Dumka assembly constituency and the Barhait assembly seat. Soren defeated Louis Marandi from the Dumka assembly seat and beat Siman Malto from the Barhait assembly constituency. The alliance of JMM, Congress, and RJD is well on its way to form government in Jharkhand with the three parties slated to cross the majority mark of 41 in the state assembly, according to trends of results at 6 pm on the website of Election Commission of India. The ruling BJP has been sliding in numbers as compared to earlier trends and was leading on just 25 seats.
