Jhalawar–Baran is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the fourth phase on April 29. This constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. It comprises eight assembly seats - Anta, Kishanganj, Baran-Atru, Chhabra, Dag, Jhalrapatan, Khanpur and Manohar Thana. The seat is not reserved for any category and its constituency number is 25. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Dushyant Singh from Jhalawar–Baran Lok Sabha Constituency, while the Congress has given the ticket to Pramod Sharma. The Election Commission of India on March 10 announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The general elections will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, and the results will be declared on May 23. Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019.
