Chandigarh, September 13: The Jannayak Janata Party on Friday announced candidates from Panipat Rural, Ukalana, Narnaund, Mahendergarh, Narnaul, Bawal, and Hathin assembly constituencies for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, 2019. The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), had also fielded candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections and had formed a coalition with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Party leader Dushyant Chautala had earlier said that the party would contest on all the 90 seats in the upcoming assembly polls. The JPP was formed in December after a split in the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in December, 2019. The party has tried to project the image of a youth-centric party to appeal to the young voters in the state and also the Jat votebank.

The officials on  Wednesday said that close to 1.83 crore voters in Haryana are eligible to exercise their franchise in the upcoming Assembly elections. A special campaign will be launched by the office of Haryana Chief Electoral Officer under which each polling booth in every Assembly constituency will be covered, said the poll official. Information about the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and VVPAT machines will be given to the people through a special dedicated vehicle as part of the campaign, officials further added. (With Agency Inputs)
