Guntur, March 15: A month after saying that the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh was done unparliamentarily,  the Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday said that he was snapping the alliance with N Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He also confirmed that he will join hands with the Left parties, CPM and CPI in the next elections. The Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan made an alliance with  N Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP  four years ago.

The Jana Sena Party chief was addressing a public meeting in Amaravati where the actor-turned-politician warned Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and targeted Chief Minister Naidu. Pawan Kalyan had campaigned for TDP in the 2014 elections but was critical of the Andhra Pradesh CM and his party's policies concerning the state. According to a report in the Times of India, Pawan Kalyan also issued an ultimatum to TDP legislators saying tha they should support the people of Andhra Pradesh and Jana Sena.

The Jana Sena Party president also attacked Finance Minister Arun Jaitley saying that he had hurt the sentiments of the Andhra people by saying that special status cannot be given a special status category. Referring to Arun Jaitley's speech, he added that ,"Today you are going back on your word (referring to BJP's manifesto which promised a special category status to Andhra Pradesh) , so why should we follow your law sir?" He also warned the Centre and threatened to go on a fast unto death if the "NDA government continued to ‘neglect’ the state and the people of Andhra Pradesh."

The JSP chief, known for his temper and fiery speeches, managed to keep his temper in check in the two hour speech and attacked the Andhra CM Naidu. Surprisingly, he did not talk a lot on YSR's Jagan Mohan Reddy, whom he has accused of corruption in the past. Pawan Kalyan has said that he will release the manifesto of his party later in the year, before the 2019 general elections and will consult people from all fields of the society.
