Here's the ANI tweet:
Earlier on Friday, a Supreme Court bench -- headed by CJI SA Bobde -- directed the Jammu and Kashmir administration to review all restrictive orders within a week. The bench opined that 'Freedom of Expression through Internet' is a fundamental right under Article 19(1)(a) of free speech and directed the administration to review it forthwith. Along with this, the SC also asked the administration to review the Section 144 imposition within seven days.
Following the directions, the administration revoked the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) against former Chief Ministers Farooq, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti. All these prominent leaders have been detained by the administration since months after Centre abrogated the Article 370 on August 5, 2019. However, there is no clarity on the release of these significant political leaders as of yet.
