Jammu and Kashmir: PDP Expels Altaf Bukhari for ‘Anti-Party Activities’
The Jammu and Kashmir's Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday expelled senior party leader Altaf Bukhari for his 'anti-party activities,' said PDP in its official Twitter handle.
Srinagar, January 19: The Jammu and Kashmir's Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday expelled senior party leader Altaf Bukhari for his 'anti-party activities,' said PDP in its official Twitter handle. "Party today expelled Altaf Bukhari from the party for his anti-party activities. Party has been watching with concern the activities of Altaf Bukhari for quite some time and thereby stands expelled from the basic membership of the party," said PDP in a post. The businessman-turned-politician won his maiden election from Amira Kadal constituency of Jammu and Kashmir during PDP-BJP coalition headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. However, after Sayeed's death, Mehbooba Mufti took over the party and dropped Bukhari from the cabinet. Haseeb Drabu, Former Finance Minister of Jammu And Kashmir, Quits PDP.
Later Bukhari was made education in February 2017. After Jammu and Kashmir sacked the financial minister Haseeb Drabu from the post, Bukhari took over it. According to reports, Bhukari was sad with PDP's decision for not challenging governor Satya Pal Malik's move to dissolve the assembly and entered in negotiations with the Farooq Abdullah's National Conference to shift his allegiance.
