Anantnag, April 29: Voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 concluded on Monday. In Jammu and Kashmir, voting was being held in Kulgam district which is part of the Anantnag parliamentary constituency. A total of voter turnout 9.7957 percent was recorded. The Anantnag constituency has 5,27,154 registered general voters and 2,118 service voters. A total of 714 polling booths have been set up across the district. JKPDP leader and former J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti won this seat in Lok Sabha Elections 2014 by defeating Mirza Mehboob Beg of the JKNPP. She is back in the fray this election, along with Sofi Youssaf of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ghulam Ahmad Mir of the Congress and Hasnain Masoodi of the National Conference. Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Schedule: Voting In 7 Phases From April 11 to May 19, Counting And Results On May 23.

The voter turnout of 57.35 per cent was recorded in the first round while 45.7 per cent polling took place in the second phase in Jammu and Kashmir.
